Tourmaline is a complex mineral group featuring many distinctly different minerals, the most colorful of which, arguably is elbaite. The fine red/pink variation of elbaite is known as Rubellite, and the infamous Cruzeiro Mine is responsible for some of the world’s best specimens known for the color of their beautifully saturated deep cranberry red crystals. This is an example photo taken from the web, something similar would easily run multiple hundreds of dollars.
